Pivots, Gears & Pinions
Larsen has developed a unique burnishing capability designed to meet the needs of the precision instrument industry. We can produce pivots with finishes of 2 microinches and tolerances to 0.0001″. Tornos machines are used to generate blanks, then gears and pinions are produced to consistently meet the highest quality and precision standards, as specified in the AGMA gear classification manual 390.01. We test gears on state-of-the-art mikron testing equipment, and charts are supplied on request.
